The Best Vacations Begin and End in Our Abode Sun Valley Retreats
The thing that bring you joy may not always be tangible items that can be photographed and catalogued. It may be the vibe you feel when you step inside a luxurious space filled with warmth and light, in other words, when you step inside our Abode Sun Valley summer rentals, you will feel the first stirrings of joy. The best Idaho vacations begin and end inside these spaces and as you begin your tour of comfort, you may wish that you never had to experience the end of this summer in paradise.
Outdoor Areas Designed for Relaxation and Fun
Of course, these spaces are built to be comfortable, but the fun you can have here is important as well. Sunny days that aren’t too warm will make you want to spend a lot of time outside and the decks that extend across the back expanse of the home will be furnished with multiple seating options, including large tables for al fresco dining, barbecue grills, even a bubbling hot tub. You may not think summer is the best time to soak in a hot tub, until you learn that even though the days are warm, when the sun sets the nighttime, temps can drop as low as the high 30s, depending on when your summer adventures will be taking place. Feeling the cold air kiss your nose as the warm bubbles tickle your sides is a luxurious sensation that will become your new favorite way to end each day of your summer stay. Our cabins near Sun Valley Idaho also offer firepits, cornhole games, and telescopes for watching the stars and the wildlife in the countryside. The back decks, patios, and yards will serve as a playground for adults and children.
Indoor Areas Also Designed for Relaxation and Fun
There are multiple reasons as to why you may want to stay home and explore all our fun amenities at least one day during your summer vacation, and even if your reason is simply because you want to, that one day may turn into two because there is so much to do! We’ve already discussed the fun you can have outside, so let’s take this adventure back inside to where warmth, luxury, and comfort await. Game tables can offer many hours of competitive fun with your family or friends, and there may be a room filled with those and other ways to play, or it may be the board games that can be found in cabinets, the chess board sitting on a coffee table, or the movies lined up on a shelf enticing you to fix yourself a snack, a beverage, and veg out in front of state of the art televisions that make you happy. Some Sun Valley, Idaho vacation homes may feature a second living area, furnished with a second television, enabling your teens to hook up their game consoles and lose themselves in the bliss of alternate worlds while you relax and read. The baths of our seasonal luxury rentals in Sun Valley, Idaho can be described as spacious and spa-like, featuring deep tubs (some jetted), large steam showers, and fluffy towels that will wrap around your body; this isn’t your high school years where gym teachers provided towels the size of handkerchiefs to walk around in!
Fully Equipped Kitchens, Laundry Rooms, and Even Office Space
Being able to cook a meal or three in our fully equipped kitchens, to pack light and spend extra time shopping for souvenirs, and to attend virtual meetings for hardworking travelers who can’t completely disconnect from the office are more reasons you will find yourself excited to be enjoying an Idaho summer vacation, and our tranquil and comfortable bedrooms are certain to be dreamed about when you return to real life. We put a lot of detail into creating homes, not just vacation rentals, and we want our guests to feel comfortable and at home even as they are far from their own homes. But we also want to ensure that your summer adventures include all the things that make this part of the world one of the top vacation destinations, and now that you have got the chance to explore at home, we will take some time to talk about the summer fun you can have outside the boundaries of our property lines!
Hiking the White Cloud Loop Trail
Spending as much time as possible outside in the summer is what most visitors do, and the hiking trails that traverse the countryside will take your breath away with their beauty. You may also get a little winded from the hikes themselves, but the White Cloud Loop Trail is a family friendly one that doesn’t require too much effort. Lasting just 3 miles from trailhead to trailhead, the loop offers stunning views of trees, countryside, and Baker Lake giving visitors an experience they won’t soon forget.
Golfing at Sun Valley Golf Course, 200 Trail Creek Road in Sun Valley
Our sports loving guests are never at a loss to find something to do, and in the summer months, a day on the Sun Valley Golf Course can be addictive! The grounds offer three courses: Trail Creek (18 holes), White Clouds (you will hike around this 9-hole course if you take the trail we mentioned in the paragraph above), and Elkhorn, the original course which dates back to 1974 and undergoing extensive renovations in the early 2000s offering a modern adventure with mature landscaping.
Sip a Hammtini at the Historic Casino, 220 N Main Street in Ketchum
Not many people know that this part of the world was a favorite of two very famous writers, Ernest Hemingway and Hunter S. Thompson, and when they were in town, the Casino was where they could be found most nights, (separately, the two never knew each other and Hemingway died before Thompson was known) sipping the signature drink, a Hamm’s beer with a chunk of lime on top, (the Hammtini) and probably sharing tall tales of which only they would know the veracity. Built in 1936, the Casino is a bar with a long history, including illegal gambling that ended in the 1950s. Today, it is a bar, often voted the best bar in town, and during the season it offers a Casino Café which stays open late at night, serving sandwiches and other pub grub.
