ROB ALDAY

OWNER

As an owner of a Deer Valley, Utah rental property Rob started this business with an owners point of view. He has ten years of experience in the property management and vacation rental business. Rob has built this business, based on loyalty, honesty and hard work. He knows the ins and outs of each and every property, and he always deals with owners and guests personally on a regular basis. You might run into Rob on the slopes or at a local restaurant or pub meeting with our owners and guests.

RACHEL ALDAY

OWNER

Rachel came to work for Abode after spending most of her career in Marketing with Coca-Cola and McDonald’s. Rachel manages all of the marketing for Abode and she also handles most of the services for guests. There is no request too boring or too over the top for Rachel to handle. She loves getting to know all of our Abode Jackson Hole guests and helping to make sure their vacation is everything they hoped it would be.

Growing up my family was in the real estate and recreation business, so I saw how important customer service can be, and also how valuable recreation and time off can be for busy clients. I love being able to help people across the country with their vacations. The work at Abode provides me the opportunity to meet individuals from all over the world, learn new technologies catered to small businesses, and be a part of a growing company. The Abode office is tight knit, and everyone that works in here has a team approach.

HOMEOWNER RELATIONS

From the great Utah mountains, where you will find me snowboarding every winter or hiking in the summer. My happy place is Shabu in Main St.- super fun atmosphere and phenomenal food (you have to get the hot rock wagyu). Before coming to Abode in 2020 I was in sales and worked at Snowbird helping our tourists. The best part of my job is providing a home away from home for people from all over the world, interacting with grateful guests and our amazing team. I love that Abode truly is a family. We hear it all the time, but that is the best word to describe us, very grateful to work with the whole Abode Fam.

RESERVATION SPECIALIST

Vacation is what brought me here. Four days after being out West, I called my family in Ohio and said I was never coming back. That was 1993! Someone once said "Travel is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer". I have been fortunate to travel to Greece, (got engaged in Santorini), France (saw Lindsay Vonn win the World Cup in Meribel) and I've been to 46 of our 50 states. However, I've never been sad to leave vacation and return home to the mountains. Living here truly feels like we're living the dream! Remember, travel is not to escape life, but to make sure life doesn't escape us!

I have lived out West for the past 18 years with my wife Lorie, two sons, and our adorable dogs! I enjoy outdoor activities frequently which combined with my background in skiing, guest services, and vacation rentals is a great asset in helping you find the perfect home to meet your needs. When I'm not working with guests you can find me on the bandstand with Motherlode Canyon Band. I’m the guy with a green sparkle drum set and a big smile on my face! I look forward to helping you plan your trip.

I am originally from New York, but moved to Park City four years ago when I realized that I could both work and ski every day and have never looked back. When I’m not on the clock, I enjoy biking, skiing, and kayaking as well as exploring all that Utah and the mountain west has to offer. Sun Valley has so much to do and such a vibrant community, and I enjoy meeting every guest and learning about what they bring to the table. I love how unique each property at Abode is and how each day brings new challenges and problems to solve.

CHANCE PHILLIPS

RESERVATION SPECIALIST

I was raised in Northern California and moved to Park City 10 years ago because I love everything about living in the mountains, including hiking, snowboarding, mountain biking, and skateboarding. In the summer, the Deer Valley summer concerts are a must-do and a lot of fun! I went to school for photography, but found myself on the Abode team after years of experience in the service industry. The best part of my job is sharing how unique our home of Sun Valley is with guests, and I love how Abode wants you to feel like a friend, not a tourist.

Born and raised in Cordoba, Argentina. I came to Park City to ski with friends back in 2017, but I found love in the mountains and this charming town became my home since then. I’m a designer who always worked in the hospitality business, and my passion about learning and improving people’s experiences brought me to Abode. If you fly in, don’t forget to check your window and look at our beautiful snowed mountains from above!

ASHLEY KIPPS-CANADY

MARKETING DIRECTOR

Moving out west was very much a spontaneous decision. I grew up in Virginia hiking and camping in the Appalachian mountains where my family is from and after finishing university decided if there was ever a time to uproot, it was now. I've spent the last six years working in social media and marketing for fast paced brands like Kleinfeld Bridal and eventually found my way to Abode. Most of my time outside of the office is spent out in the High Uinta's backpacking with my dogs, swimming in alpine lakes, & shooting film photography of the incredible mountain west landscape.

HR & ACCOUNTING CONTROLLER

Originally from Peoria, Arizona. My HR and accounting experience brought me to Abode. I really appreciate the culture here. I always feel encouraged to step out of my comfort zone and deeply enjoy laughing with my co-workers while constantly learning. I love being part of a team that goes out of our way to give guests what they need if it was not already provided. Also, life in the mountains is my ZEN.

OUR STORY

Abode was started over ten years ago by a husband & wife team, Rob & Rachel Alday. As owners of a slope-side second home themselves, they were dissatisfied with the services they were receiving from other vacation rental and property management companies in the market who were investor-focused rather than owner & guest-focused and were growing too fast to keep up with the caliber of service, care, and sophistication required for such exceptional properties. So they set out to create an entirely unique second-home ownership experience with the goal of approaching every situation from an owner's point of view, to take the hassle & headache out of the experience and to allow homeowners and travelers to relax & unwind in luxury and comfort.

Unwavering in our values, Abode Luxury Rentals has now grown into a highly respected company in our industry, fortunate enough to have a close-knit team who believe in rigorous attention to detail, with an unending love of creating dream vacations and lasting memories. For us, the work is never done, and as owners of a family business, we personally deal with our clients face-to-face. We connect with our owners and guests on a personal level and strive to provide exceptional second-home owner & vacation experiences.
